E.P.I.C. (Everyday People Initiating Change) is a 501c3 organization that brings safe, clean drinking water to the developing world, while supporting other aspects of community growth. It is also a movement to encourage other Everyday People to Initiate positive Change in the worlds around them.
Tennille Amor and Alexi Panos (the co-founders of E.P.I.C.), met in 2003, and immediately connected through their involvement in the entertainment industry. As their friendship grew, they began to realize that their vision for the future was very similar. While both girls had a strong desire to do something positive in the world, neither of them felt capable without having enough money, success, or power to make a real difference. After seeing a news report about one ordinary woman's work to raise a huge amount of money for a country in the developing world, the girls felt inspired and motivated enough to start making a difference right away, even if they had to start out small. They realized that every individual has an extremely important role to play in the world, and although there is so much to be done, it is all possible if we come together to make the change, one step at a time.
E.P.I.C. (Everyday People Initiating Change) was formed in 2005 to show people of every age, race, creed or social status that we have the ability to change the world for the better every day in whatever ways we choose. Every year, E.P.I.C. takes on new projects (such as providing clean water to the developing world by drilling clean water wells, helping with community development, and improving on health and hygiene in developing villages). These projects are intended to encourage other everyday people to initiate positive change in whatever ways they feel called to pursue, and this website will be used as a platform to highlight some of the inspiring work being done around the world by the growing movement of Everyday People Initiating Change. E.P.I.C. began as the story of two young girls with a desire to change the world for the better, but it is now your story too. You have the opportunity to BE EPIC every single day. WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY?
