Water Condition Before And After the Well: People in Ihomasa got their water from 2 sources before the well was drilled. The first source was from hand dug wells, which were holes that were dug in arid, dusty desert-type land. Villagers would wait for hours just to fill one bucket. The other source was from a dirty dam that was polluted with animal and human feces.
After the well, people in the community have access to clean water, and a boarding school was built close to the well, so the students could also benefit from having close access to clean water.
